About the Penturning Artist

Darrell Eisner Pen Turning Artist - By vocation, I have been a retail administrator for over 28 years but have had an interest in woodworking, stained glass, and home renovations all my life. In 2002, I took a pen turning course at Lee Valley in Halifax and got hooked on penturning. Since 2003, I have committed to full time production and marketing of high quality wooden pens.

In subsequent years I have endeavoured to improve my craft by participating in Craft shows, juried Gallery exhibits, and teaching penturning.

Personal Service Commitment

You will notice that I used "I' a lot in my descriptions of my pens. It is because my penturning craft is a passion and very personal to me. I have turned each pen, know the wood and the individual characteristics of each pen I turned. In the same way my pen business is also personal. I respect my clients and pledge that I will give you the best personal service possible. That is why I have decided not to have a shopping cart service. I want to highlight personal service. I want you as a client to e-mail me and in turn I wish to build a brief personal relationship by replying back to you. I will answer your questions, provide more information, suggestions for pen selections, and additional pictures of the pens you are interested in. Yes, it will take more time for both of us but in the end you will have a better understanding of your pen selection. By answering your questions I will be better able to assist you in selecting and appreciating the pen you have selected as a gift for other or yourself. So please feel free to contact me at
