Iowa Corncob Pen
So how is this done? It is a process called stabilization where a dye and a resin are injected into the corncob. The Dye gives an uniform colour throughout and the resin strengthens the corncob and fills in any voids in the corncob. The stabilization process is similar to that for the Dymondwood pen. There are two pen styles. The standard Iowa Corncob Euro Ballpoint Pen which is a medium weight ballpoint pen and the Iowa Perfect Fit Corncob Ballpoint Pen which has a tapered look and is actually quite lightweight.
