The style of the curly maple pen reminded me of the importance of the maple sugar industry here in Nova Scotia. Early in the spring when the air temperature warms up during the day, the maple syrup starts to flow in the maple trees and is collected and boiled off into maple syrup products. This is a fun time to visit the maple syrup producers and sample maple syrup, maple candy and toffy.
